GLOSSARY

A user system is a set of computers, software, external devices, terminals, means of transmission and formation and users (subscribers) themselves, performing applied processes.

Absolute references - references to cells in formulas with an absolute reference address.

Medical personnel automated workplace is a workstation equipped with computer hardware, software and medical equipment to provide information support for professional tasks.

Auto filter - add-on, when unnecessary data is temporarily deleted, and only those lines that meet the specified criterion are displayed.

Hyperlink address - the way to the destination, for example, to the object, document or Web-page. A hyperlink address can represent a URL (Internet or intranet address) or a UNC network route (to a file on a local network). The hyperlink address may also contain some special address information (e.g., a database object, a Microsoft Word bookmark or a range of Microsoft Excel cells indicated by the address). When selecting a hyperlink, a Web browser or Microsoft Access uses the hyperlink address to navigate to the specified address.

The cell address is designated as the column name vertically (one or two letters of the Latin alphabet) and the name of the row (numeric symbol).

The applet is a small application that can be used to create dynamic Web pages.

Database (DB) is a set of interrelated data used under DBMS management.

The Microsoft Access database is a combination of data and objects related to a specific task. The Microsoft Access database can contain tables, queries, forms, reports, macros, modules and labels for data access pages. The Microsoft Jet database core manages the data in the database tables. Data in linked tables can be stored in another Access database, in an external data source such as a dBase or Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, and in an ODBC data source such as Microsoft SQL Server.
