5.1 Introduction
In case of accidents, catastrophes, natural disasters, a significant number of affected people may need first aid, which should be provided immediately at the site of the accident. The experience and analysis of the liquidation of the consequences of emergency situations shows that in the first most important minutes for saving lives, there are no emergency rescue and medical units in the immediate vicinity, or their number cannot provide assistance to all those in need. In these conditions, the main and only factor in saving a life is first aid.
